Terms of service
Version 1, effective [date of publication]
On this page
Welcome to Noli. These terms are the agreement between you and [Noli company legal name], a company registered in [free zone], United Arab Emirates, under licence number [licence number], with its registered office at [registered address] ("Noli", "we", "us"). They cover your use of noli.design, its sub-domains, and everything we offer there (together, "Noli").
Please read them carefully. They include our community rules (section 6), what you allow us to do with what you post (section 7), and the limits of our responsibility (section 14). Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data.
If anything here is unclear, write to support@noli.design.
1. Agreeing to these terms
You accept these terms when you tick the box at sign-up and create your account, or when you otherwise use Noli. If you do not agree, please do not use Noli.
We keep a record of the version of the terms you accepted and when.
If you use Noli for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. Who can use Noli
To have an account you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you;
- have been invited, as Noli is invite-only;
- not have been banned from Noli before, unless we have agreed in writing that you may return;
- not be barred from using Noli by the law of the country you are in, or be the subject of sanctions that prevent us from providing it to you.
We may ask you to confirm your age or identity, and we may close an account if we reasonably believe these conditions are not met.
3. Your account
One account, the real you. Use your real name, or the name you are known by professionally, and do not pretend to be someone else or to represent a company you do not represent. You may have one personal account. A company may have one company account, managed by the people it adds to its team.
Accurate details. Keep your email address and profile accurate and up to date.
Keep it safe. You are responsible for your password and for what happens under your account. Use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere, and turn on two-step sign-in. Do not share your account or let anyone else use it. Tell us at once at support@noli.design if you think someone else has accessed it.
Usernames. Your username is your address on Noli. We may reclaim or change a username that infringes someone's rights, impersonates someone, is misleading or offensive, or has not been used, and we reserve some usernames for Noli.
Invites. If Noli gives you invites to share, you may give them only to people you know who meet section 2. You are responsible for not selling, publishing, or advertising invites. We may withdraw invites that are misused.
4. What Noli provides
Noli lets you build a profile, post your work and your process, follow other members, comment, save and collect work, send messages, post and apply for jobs, and send us feedback. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Noli is provided free of charge at the moment. If we introduce paid plans, they will have their own terms, which we will show you clearly before you pay (section 12).
We try to keep Noli available and working well, but we cannot promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. We may need to pause it for maintenance, security, or reasons outside our control.
5. Your content
You own what you post. Your work, posts, projects, comments, messages, and other material you add to Noli ("your content") remain yours.
You are responsible for it. You confirm that:
- you created your content, or you have all the rights and permissions needed to post it and to give us the licence in section 7;
- it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, design, privacy, image, or other rights;
- if it shows an identifiable person, you have their consent to share it (in several GCC countries, sharing someone's photo without their consent is a crime, even if it was taken in a public place);
- if you credit collaborators, clients, or employers, you have the right to name them and to show the work;
- if the work was made for a client or employer, you have their permission to show it, and you respect any confidentiality you owe them;
- it complies with these terms and with the law that applies to you.
Think before you share. What you make public can be seen, copied, and shared by others. Only post what you are comfortable being public.
6. Community rules
Noli is a professional community. Treat other members with respect, credit the work of others, and keep Noli a place people want to share in. The following are not allowed on Noli, in any form, including in posts, projects, comments, images, messages, profiles, usernames, jobs, and links:

- 11. Editing or generating images of real people (including "deepfakes") to mislead, embarrass, or defame them.

Respect for creators
- 23. Posting someone else's work as your own, or without the rights to it. Credit what you did not make.
Advertising and promotion
- 24. Advertising or paid promotion that is not clearly labelled as such, or that you need a permit for and do not have. If you promote products or services, you are responsible for holding any permit your country requires (for example the UAE Advertiser Permit, or Mawthooq in Saudi Arabia).
Using Noli properly
- 25. Spam: repetitive, unwanted, or bulk messages, comments, or follows.
- 26. Collecting other members' data, for example by scraping, crawling, or bots, without our written permission.
- 27. Interfering with Noli: probing, scanning, or testing its security; bypassing limits, blocks, or bans; uploading malware; or overloading the service. If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@noli.design so we can fix it.
- 28. Copying, selling, or reusing Noli itself, its design, or its code, except as the law allows.
- 29. Helping or encouraging anyone else to break these rules.
These rules apply wherever you are. Some of these acts are also crimes in the GCC and elsewhere, with serious penalties.
7. What you allow us to do with your content
To run Noli, we need your permission to use your content. So you give Noli a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, reproduce, adapt (for example to resize images or create previews), publish, display, and distribute your content, for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting Noli.
This licence:
- lets us show your content to the people you share it with, and show your public profile as described in our Privacy policy;
- lets us feature your public work on Noli itself, for example as the cover of the week on the sign-in page, always with your name and a link to your work; you can ask us not to feature your work at support@noli.design;
- lets us show your public work in Noli's own announcements and social media accounts only with your permission, which we will ask for first;
- does not let us sell your work, or license it to others to use separately from Noli;
- ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already shared or saved within Noli in ways that rely on it, for copies in backups until they rotate out, and as the law requires us to keep it.
You also allow other members to view your public content on Noli and to share links to it. Beyond that, other members may not use your content without your permission.
8. Messages
Messages are for genuine, professional conversation. Do not send unwanted messages in bulk, and respect a member who does not reply or who blocks you.
Messages are private between the members in the conversation. If a member reports a message, our staff can read it to decide what to do (see our Privacy policy).
9. Jobs
If you post a job, you confirm that:
- the role is real, open, and yours (or your client's, with permission) to fill;
- you have every licence and permit the law requires to recruit for it;
- the job ad and your selection do not discriminate on grounds such as race, colour, sex, religion, national or social origin, or disability, except where the law allows (for example national workforce programmes);
- you will never ask a candidate for any fee, deposit, or payment of any kind;
- you include any details the law of the job's country requires in a job ad (for example the salary, where required);
- you use applications, CVs, and candidates' data only to fill that role, in line with the data protection law that applies to you, and you delete them when you no longer need them;
- you will keep candidates informed honestly, through Noli, about where their application stands.
We review jobs, may hold a job for review before it appears, and may remove any job or company account that we believe breaks these rules.
If you apply for a job, you confirm that what you send is true. Your application, CV, and attached work go to the company that posted the job, which is responsible for how it uses them.
Noli is not a party to any job. We are not a recruitment agency or an employer, we do not select candidates, and we are not responsible for any job, offer, contract, payment, or conduct between members and companies. Please check any opportunity carefully, and report anything suspicious.
10. Feedback
We welcome feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you. Please do not include other people's personal data in feedback or screenshots.
11. Reporting, moderation, and appeals
Reporting. You can report any post, comment, project, message, member, or job that you think breaks these terms, from its menu. Please only report in good faith.
What we may do. To keep Noli safe and to comply with the law, we may, at our discretion and without notice where needed:
- remove or limit content;
- hold a job for review;
- reclaim a username;
- suspend an account, temporarily or until a review is complete;
- ban an account permanently.
We are not obliged to monitor content, and we do not review everything before it appears, but we act on reports and on what we find.
Telling you. When we remove your content, we tell you what was removed and why. When we suspend or ban your account, we tell you when you next try to sign in, [and by email].
Appeals. If you think we got it wrong, write to appeals@noli.design within 30 days, explaining why. A different member of our staff will look again and tell you the outcome. This does not affect any right you have to go to the authorities or the courts.
Repeat breaches. We may ban members who repeatedly break these terms.
Authorities. We comply with lawful orders from courts and authorities to remove or restrict content, or to provide or preserve information, and we may report illegal content, especially content that endangers children or anyone's life, to the authorities.
12. Paid features
Noli is free today. If we introduce paid plans or features, we will show you the price, any taxes and fees, what you get, how long it lasts, whether and when it renews, and how to cancel, before you pay, and you will need to agree to that specific offer. We will give you an electronic invoice, and your rights under consumer law (including any right to cancel) will not be affected.
13. Intellectual property and complaints
Noli's own rights. Noli, its name, logo, design, software, and content we create belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any right to use them, except to use Noli as intended. Please do not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
Reporting infringement. If you believe content on Noli infringes your copyright, design, trademark, or other rights, report it with the menu on the content ("Someone else's work"), or write to support@noli.design with:
- your name and contact details;
- what you own, and proof that you own it, or that you act for the owner;
- where the content is on Noli (its link);
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, and that your report is accurate.
We may share your report with the member who posted the content so they can respond. If they believe it was removed by mistake, they can appeal under section 11. We close the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe others' rights.
14. Our responsibility to you
What we promise. We will provide Noli with reasonable care and skill, and as described in these terms.
What we cannot promise. Noli is a place where members share their own content and make their own decisions. We do not check, endorse, or guarantee members' content, profiles, claims, jobs, or conduct, and we are not responsible for them. We are not responsible for websites or services we link to.
Limits. To the extent the law allows:
- we are not responsible for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable, that was caused by your breach of these terms, or that was caused by events outside our reasonable control;
- we are not responsible for any loss of business, profit, revenue, contract, or opportunity, where you use Noli for business;
- our total responsibility to you for any claim related to Noli is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and [AED 500].
Your rights by law. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited or excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, and nothing takes away any right you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Your responsibility. If you break these terms or the law, and someone makes a claim against Noli because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim, to the extent the law allows and in proportion to your responsibility for it.
15. Ending our agreement
You can stop using Noli and delete your account at any time, under Settings, Account. Our Privacy policy explains what happens to your data.
We may suspend or end your access to Noli if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires us to, or if we reasonably believe it is needed to protect other members, Noli, or the public. Where it is fair and lawful to, we will tell you why, and give you a chance to respond first, unless the breach is serious or urgent.
If we close Noli, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and, where we can, a way to download your content.
Sections that by their nature should continue after the agreement ends will continue, including sections 5, 7 (to the extent described there), 13, 14, 16, and 17.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when Noli or the law changes. For an important change, we will tell you in Noli or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and where needed we will ask you to accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, you can delete your account before they take effect. Changes needed for legal or security reasons may take effect sooner.
We will not change these terms in a way that removes rights you have already earned, such as a paid period you have already bought.
17. Law and disputes
Talk to us first. If you have a problem with Noli, please write to support@noli.design. Most issues can be resolved quickly that way.
Governing law. [To be decided with counsel once the company is registered. Options: the laws of the [Dubai International Financial Centre / Abu Dhabi Global Market], or the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of [Dubai].]
Courts. [To be decided with counsel. Options: the courts of the [DIFC / ADGM], or the courts of [Dubai].]
Consumers. If you use Noli as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms requires a consumer to go to arbitration, or waives a consumer's right to go to court.
18. Language
These terms are written in English. [An Arabic version is available at noli.design/ar/terms.] [If the two versions differ, (to be decided with counsel).]
19. General
- These terms, together with our Privacy policy and any specific terms we show you for a feature, are the whole agreement between you and Noli about Noli.
- If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest remains in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over Noli, as long as your rights are not reduced.
- Nobody else has rights under these terms.
- Notices to you may be sent to the email address on your account or shown in Noli. Notices to us go to support@noli.design, or for legal matters to [legal address].
